    I had and used   Cocktail, at first, which had no permission  
repair problem. Once you submit the nominal fee you get constant  
updates forever. I bought TechToolPro, v4 to solve  any  and all  
other problems, including permissions. It creates a an Emergency  
Drive to your HD so you can boot it up right from that.
