I've seen lots of good responses on this topic, but thought I'd add
my $0.02 since what is IMHO the best option hadn't been mentioned yet.
Microham (www.microham-usa.com), offers several options that work
perfectly with both Intel and PPC macs. The upcoming Digi-Keyer
eliminates the need to run separate audio cables entirely, in
addition to the plethora of other features. I personally use a USB
Interface II with MLDX, Cocoamodem, CocoaPTT, MacDopplerForCocoa, etc.
I'm not affiliated with Microham in any way, just a satisfied user.
