If you are a Mac LoTW user, please read on.
My LoTW key was about to expire so I requested the annual update this
morning. The tsq.6 update showed up and the installation was no big deal.
When I open the tsqlcert.app and check the Properties, it shows the new
certificate. To test the new digital key I tied to create a new ADIF file
for my RTTY, Phone and CW QSO's with the K7C Kure operation.
I opened the tsql.app and used the pull down File menu to "Create a new ADIF
file....." and entered the QSO data. Everything worked FB until I tried to
save the file. When I tried to save the file, using the required .adi
extention, I got a wxWidgets error message and the xxx.adi file was not
saved to the hard drive.
I do not think this has anything to do with the new certification or key as
the Mac tsql application could not create the file so I had nothing to sign
with the new digital key. You have to create a file before you can sign it.
Since this reflector will not relay screen shots, the error message says
(subject to my typos):
------------------------------------
wxWidgets Debug Alert
.../scr/common/wincmm.cpp(1713):assert"!sizeer||
m_containingSizer!=sizer"failed:Adding a window to the
same sizer twice?
Do you want to stop the program?
You can aslo choose [Cancel to supress futher warnings.
NP Cancel Yes
-------------------------------------
The Yes/No and Cancel options all do the same thing - nothing and nothing is
saved.
At first I did not think this would effect MacLogger users because they only
use the tsql.app to sign their .adi file generated by MacLogger; however I
no suspect the issue may leak over. I tried the other option in the ARRL
tsql.app to "Edit a Location" and got the same wxWidgets error message. How
about some comments from MacLogger users? Can you edit you locations?
I am wondering if my setup is hosed or if there is a problem with the
tsql.app and Mac OSX 10.4.2? Anybody seen the wxWidgets error message?
Any suggestions on how to get around this problem will be appreciated.
Buying a PC is not an option. BTW, the error has been reported to Wayne
Mills, N7NG, at the ARRL LoTW desk. He is aware but is not a Mac user so it
is hard for him to verify the issue. Again, maybe I am the only person with
the wxWidets issue.
HELP!!!
