The following is a copy of my posting to the CTDXCC and rtty-contesting
reflectors that may be of some interest to the Ham-Mac community.
I would like to see more Mac users in the RTTY contests. My guess is the
main reason is the lack of contesting (not logging) OSX software.
Also, pease do not take my comment below wrong. The cocoaModem software and
its contest interface worked great. The software was designed to support
contests like the ARRL RTTY Round Up - not the CQ Worldwide DX Contest. As
a workaround I used the BARTG Sprint template to be able to log the CQ zones
and this forced me to give up logging of the states and provs. The
cocoaModem RTTY decoding, sending macros, real time dupe checking, logging
and Cabrillo output worked perfect. The contest was fun!

The Macintosh cocoaModem software worked great; however, the current release
does not provide a contest template for the CQ WW logging requirements. As
a work around I used another template that logged zones but not states. For
this reason I did not attempt to calculate a score. The 301 total QSO's was
a new high for me. Happiness was being called by ET3TK and EY8MM - both new
(to me) RTTY countries!
