I'm doing it right now. I have Safari running on 10.4.1 and my Palm 
software running under 9.2.2 in another window.

Go to your System Preferences and look in the System row for Classic 
and open that. There is a setting to let you load 9.x at startup. 
Alternatively, if you try to open a 9.x application it should run the 
9.x startup for you at that time.
