[Ham-Mac] Safari Bug?

I am using Safari 2 with OSX 10.4.2. The problem looks like it may
be the background image itself. If you click on the web page and do
a "CMD-A" (Select All) you can read everything. (For some reason,
the black letters do not appear on the black background.) It then
looks pretty much the same as when viewed in Internet Exploder.
In fact, as I was checking Tim's source code, the background image,
<http://www.n4gn.com/gif/n4gnback.gif> has a large section of black
in it. Safari seems to be decoding it correctly!

I wonder if this is an example of a bug in Safari or if my Safari
preference
file is hosed. Any suggestions on how to get Safari to display N4GN's
web
page?
