[Ham-Mac] Mod to SignaLink SL-1+ for USB Interface

Hi Dick:
I am using the Signalink SL+ 1 connect to an iMic the radio is a
Kenwood TS-2000 via the acc2 port. The manual says the Kenwood has an
impedance of 10k ohms which is even higher than the 570. So I don't
think it an impedance mismatch.
My guess (and this is only a guess) is you where driving audio too
hard into the iMic and it was shutting down. It will appear to do
this if it finds the level is way too high. The appearance is the
you have very low distorted audio as you turned it up it worked
harder to put voltages down. It would appear as if you could never
drive it loud enough when in fact you need far less power to drive it.
Anyway hope you give it another go. I think you will find the
solution but it is tricky sometimes as you have level settings in
Radio, levels in Signalink, and even level switch on iMic.
Many thanks for the link on Carls mod.
Good mod if your interested in reducing RF into AF signal.
My Inverted-V is not very far away from my station and have this
problem at higher RF watts. Good mod for me or anyone who wants a
cleaner signal really.
Cheers,
