As many of you know I am fan of the SignaLink SL-1+ interface for RTTY and
PSK. Just ran across an interesting SL-1+ modification by KG6WTF to add a
USB interface. Carl's mod with FB pictures can be seen at

http://kg6wtf.gosselinfamily.com/signalink.html

Upon review you will note Carl incorporated his iMic into the SignaLink
package to replace the stereo connections with the iMic's USB cable.

I would do the mod if I had any confidence it would work in my setup. I had
to blow off the use of the iMic on the Rx path because the SL-1/iMic combo
acted like an attenuator to the audio output from the Kenwood TS-570. I
never could get a decent signal through the iMic to the Mac G4 so I am stuck
with the use of the stereo connections.

My problem with the iMic is due to some weird impedance mismatch unique to
the TS-570. Others have have good luck with the iMic and may want to take a
look at the KG6WTF mod.
