Lon, note in the above I ran bypass test using the TS-570's External Speaker
output rather than the audio output on the 13-Pin ACCY2 port. I really have
no easy way to bypass the the SL-1 because I use the Tigertronics cable that
has a 13-Pin DINN on one end and a telephone type connector on the other.
All connectors are soldered to the PC board and there is no good place to
add a jumper to make a bypass. I hate the Kenwood 13-Pin DINN plug and
will never (EVER) again try to solder one. I really don't think the SL-1+ is
causing the problem because it works on the direct connection from the SL-1
to the G4's Built-in audio.
