Sorry, I did not mean to ignore your earlier comment. One of the first
things I tried was to crank up the output using Menu option 34.  That helps
on the direct connection but did help when connected via the iMic. I
balanced the  output level using the Menu 34 and the trim pot in the SL-1
for the direct connection. Menu item 34 is is like a volume control.
Cranking it all the way up does not solve the iMic issue.
