[Ham-Mac] Griffin iMic

Lon,

You are correct.... table on page 15 of the TS-570 manual says the output is
4.7k ohms. I look forward to some feedback when you try your iMic with your
TS-570.

I could be blaming the wrong device as the audio comes out of TS-570 ACC2
port to the SignaLink SL-1+ interface via a Tigertronics cable and I have
the iMic between the SL-1+ and the G4. The Mac is near deaf to the rig via
the iMic USB port but hears FB via the normal Built-in Audio sound port. I
do not have anyway to bypass the SL-1 but seriously doubt it is causing the
problem.

Please let me know how your TS-570 hears with the iMic. BTW, I tried both
the old and new iMics. There are two on the market and the look the same on
the outside. The old version supports 8, 16 and 20 bit sampling and the
newer (less expensive chipset) version supports 8 & 16 bits. The Griffin
iMic Control application says I have an iMac rev2, Version 03.00 and it uses
the older 20 bit chipset. I tried both versions and one was not better than
the other with regard to the hearing issue.
