John,
You are not alone with the configuration error. Jim, KJ0M, has been having
fits with the same error when trying to sign his .adi file exported from
MacLoggoer.
I have dodged this bullet as mine seems to work. Jim and I concluded last
night there may be something wrong with his certificate from the
ARRL. His seems to be corrupted.
I recalled having a configuration error nag note last year and found my
certificate from LoTW had expired. To check yours open tqslcert.app, then
highlight your cert that should be displayed. To check the expiration date,
click on Properties under the Certificates menu.
My cert (that works) says it expires on 2005-10-20. Maybe yours has
expired and you need to get a new one from LOTW.
I created two new .adi files yesterday using the tqsl.app built-in editor
and signed them using the the same tqsl.app. I think it important to
add the correct file extension to the filename. I then got one to work by
uploading it using the Upload button on the LoTW web page. The other worked
by sending it as an E-Mail attachment. The good thing about using the email
option is you get a feedback message from the LoTW robot.
Good Luck
