RoverLog is the best VHF contesting software I've used. Tom Mayo is
also incredibly responsive to the users. I have worked with him
extensively on the Linux side as well as adding code to permit OS X
compatibility over the last few years. I have packaged RoverLog in the
past to run natively on OS X using a tcl/tk shell application from Dan
Steffen's BI distro. I recently discontinued updating it as there were
few OS X users. I do plan on releasing instructions as how to do it
under X11. Many use RoverLog and if I'm not mistaken W2SZ used it in
September instead of CT!
The only bad news is that tcl/tk serial port support for OS X is not
implemented. I get around this by running the keyer and rig control
off a linux box. I'm hoping this limitation will be resolved in the
future. I can't wait as I have 4 500MHz iMacs sitting in the basement
just waiting to be redeployed as dedicated logging machines.
