[Ham-Mac] Mac Contester

so far that software is WAY too complicated, and nowhere near usable
enough for a contest, although i applaud his efforts.

and what are all those ISS and extension files scattered all over the
folder? which one am i supposed to hit, which can i throw away? it's
hardly like a mac program at all. one icon, double click, you're in..
from there, pick a contest - everything you need is there. looks like a
unix port, not real mac software.

you need to use the mouse as LITTLE as possible in the heat of a
contest. ENTER should log the QSO not "apple-5" which even Mac users
call COMMAND-5.

the type is way too tiny to read. at least at my advanced age <G> when
you expand the window, the data fields all stay static, you just get a
big window with a lot of blank space.

as a filemaker file, its way too easy to break script and lose contest
mode. you have to click on a button to see sections needed, then hit a
continue button to get back to logger. you need to be able to see
sections needed AND sections worked AND logger all at once.

i'm not a programmer, i certainly have nothing to add to creating the
software, but this is a lot closer to all the windows software i've
managed to avoid than a nice, clean, self-contained contest package
like N3FJP, or a classic, simple yet elegant Mac style software like
macloggerDX. N3FJP doesnt LET me screw up or go to the wrong place,
that's what you need in a fast contest.

But if he keeps it moving forward, i would support (i.e., PAY) for a
good package without hesitation.
