missed the start of this thread but just caught up..
I do just about every SSB contest there is, HF and VHF, national and
many regionals - even am on the directors for the Mid Atlantic QSO
Party/Contest..
I would absolutely buy a great Mac contesting software package - but
only if it would work closely with MacLoggerDX -
I currently run N3FJP's Windoze software on the Mac with Virtual PC,
and as great a job Scott does with his packages tuned to every
different contest, which makes the exchanges and record keeping a snap,
after the contest I import ALL the data into MacLoggerDX for QSL'ing,
archiving, and uploading to Logbook Of the World. It's not possible to
use any non-contest logging software in the heat of any contest, if
you're at all serious about competing. You need that unique exchange in
front of you, and you need the check off for QSO's and multipliers
unique to that contest, and you need it all REAL TIME.
If there was a contest MacLoggerDX companion, I would jump at it, and
pay almost any (semi-reasonable) price! Especially if it came from Dog
Park software...
