Hi all
Just a final reminder that we are about to start some detailed
discussions over on the new list (see
<http://seven.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/macloggercontest> ) from
today with a view to helping eventually arrive at a consensus which Don
of dogpark software can use as an initial contest logging product
feature list. I hope those of you with any interest in contests will
join the new list and comment where you wish.
The initial threads to comment on will cover ...
1) Contest exchange entry methods - learning from the best of what is
around but also is there a better way ?
2) Contest type coverage - how to be as widely/internationally
accommodating as possible in terms of supporting different contest
events but in that Mac fashion of making it as simple for the user as
possible to select XYZ contest and have it ready to use.
3) Contest operator support features: (aside from setup and logging)
Let me assure everyone here that there is no attempt to restrict who
can see the discussions - just following netiquette not to bore all ham
mac list subscribers who are not into contesting with the details.
Whatever conclusions we / Don arrive at will be posted back to this and
the Mac Announce list in due course so that everyone knows what comes
of the detailed discussions.

Jonathan G0DVJ
