Bill [K1GQ],

I might have to take myself off "digest mode". :-)
Thank you for the response. Here are your points and my responses:

1. Would customized-but-fixed exchange be tough?
A. No, probably not. I would have choices SN, TEXT, or TEXT SN TEXT
where either of those text fields could be empty. That should
    cover it.

2. MLDX's contest helper window is hidden when MLDX is in the
background.
Does that make this idea unworkable? You responded: YES
A. That is also my fear, which is one of the reasons why I've labeled
this as an experiment. The experience during a contest with MLDX
is actually quite nice. Adding this as I have done detracts from
that experience rather than adding to it. I'll give this some more
    thought.

3. Your additional request:
Essential (for me) capability: Enter part of "his call", punch the
"send his call and exchange" function key, type the rest of "his
call". Result is sending whatever is in the "his call" field at the
time it is sent, character-by-character. For example, I can edit
already-typed characters as long as they haven't been sent yet.
A. Interesting. Well, you're much more adept at this kind of thing
than I am! I will consider the implications of this. We'll see
what I can come up with once my "real" keyer has arrived.

On that last point, I just received confirmation that my MicroHAM
keyer has been shipped. I'm expecting to see it in a few days. At
that point, we can see if the interface becomes more smooth (once
the Mac isn't running the "fake keyer").

Thank again for your feedback. As I say, I'm not sure where this
is going, but it is an interesting investigation.
