No I'm saying there was a problem between Stuffit and Safari that  
could cause problems, one of them being symptoms such as you're  
describing. Even if you have the latest Stuffit version, re- 
installation of that same version could address the problem.

(A friend of mine locally discovered this solution after having a  
similar problem to yours - sorry I can't locate the link right now.)

It's worth a try.
