Sorry, but this is a red herring. Things working right when the  
second account was created proves it. If there was a networking  
problem, then arrl.org would not work there either.

At this point the problem can only be caused by an improper setup or  
preference in the Safari app or the original account Dick is using.  
To be sure, this is not limited to Dick's machine, but has been seen  
by others as well - there was much discussion a while back at the  
MacFixit web site. While the discussion there did not involve  
arrl.org, the folks with the problem were seeing very similar things  
elsewhere. Perhaps someone with a MacFixit Pro account might do a  
search for this discussion and let us know what the solution turned  
out to be.
