Super! Now, just to make sure, you did cover the case for sending more  
than 24 characters, monitoring the KY return code until the buffer  
showed partially filled. And of course, there is the transmit status  
also indicated in the KY response.

Is the Kenwood version of the KY command much different from the  
Elecraft version? From the docs it doesn't appear so.
