[Ham-Mac] PIC programing on a MAC?

yah, I am a Mac user and a big-time fan of OS X. still at the beginner
stage of learning how to compile unix programs, but there is soooo much
available for hams that it seems worth the effort.

I have blown my budget for the next month or so on antenna-related
stuff -- relays, switches, cable, etc. to make a remote switching
antenna device. ameritron sells one for about $160. I'm doing it for
$70 or so, with 24v relays from the local surplus store. most
expensive item was the die cast aluminum box for the relays, up on the
roof. i thiink it's going to be really cool. the four-position
switch in the shack is done, and the cable routed to the roof, and the
relays modified and ready to install. i just need the box, which
should arrive Friday. I found a good internet site that sells these
things at a reasonable price.

the Phelps household has 5 macs -- my G4 desktop, a g4 15" titanium
laptop, my wife's imac (old), and both daughers have 12" powerbooks.
there's an old G3 in the basement that is going to end up running as a
weather station server one of these days, up at our cabin in Big Bear,
with aprs reporting of data.

I haven't forgotten the scope, but it will have to wait until I sell
some more stuff on ebay. my wife and I have an agreement about how
much I spend on ham radio stuff, and I am right at the limit rightt
now.
