Quite a lot.

OS X has a full BSD system, although with some quirks. Much 
well-written (meaning no Linuxisms or x86-isms) software builds right 
out of the box. The Fink project (fink.sourceforge.net) has a large 
collection of free software and a rather nice package handling system.
