Probably won't apply to many here but just in case....
I bought another Keyspan USB/serial adapter today to use with my PowerBook
to let it talk to the HP Z3801A GPS Frequency References. I already had one
of them on my iMac doing the interface to one of my PK-232s. Looking at the
CD-ROM that came along with it I noticed that the OS9 driver was V2.2; the
iMac currently had V1.8.6. So I thought I'd update the driver....Luckily I
called Keyspan just to make sure the driver was backward compatible with the
older adapter (they're identical in appearance)....good thing I called
'cause the newer 19H series that uses the V2.2 driver is NOT the same
circuit as in the older 19W series and V2.2 WILL NOT work with the older
adapter.
There is no mention of this software driver incompatibility on the
packaging, CD-ROM or at the web site (at least that I could find).
On the other hand the OSX driver will work with any model of the single
adapter.
