FYI, the new iMic has a chipset that only supports 8 and 16 bits. The older
version had a more expensive chipset that supported 8, 16 and 20 bits. Most
users do not need the 20 bit chipset so they started using he less expensive
chipset.  The price of the old unit was $39 and the new one is $35.

If you have one of the older versions, hold on to it!    The new version is
supplied in a round plastic package and the older version was in the
rectangle package.  Heads up when shopping on eBay.

Open ³Audio MIDI Setup² to see what you have. You will find that app in your
OSX Utilities folder.  Look for something showing 20 bits.
