Macintosh Amateur Radio Software Developers (MARSD) release CD-ROM.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Amateur Radio Operators using Macintosh Computers in the shack are a
minority - but a vocal and loyal minority that wish to see the state of
the art user interface, stability, ease of use and freedom from virus
that are hallmarks of the Macintosh world extended to the world of
Amateur Radio.

Mac Amateur Radio Software Developers have recently pulled together and
formed an organization to address common issues and to search for ways
to promote Mac ham radio software.

Macintosh Amateur Radio Software Developers (MARSD) was formed in
September of 2003 to encourage the development of Amateur Radio
Software for the Macintosh® Computing platform and to promote the use
of the Macintosh® Computer in Amateur Radio.

One of the first activities of MARSD was to create a web ring to allow
web users to explore other sites associated with Mac ham radio
software. Now MARSD has released a CD sampler of some of the best
software available for Amateur radio operators on the Macintosh
platform - or any other computing platform for that matter !

This CD-ROM contains the most recent versions of most of the best known
and most actively developed and supported ham radio programs for the
Macintosh.

Some of the programs are free and some are commercial. The commercial
programs are distributed as demos, allowing you to try them out before
paying for them.

The CD-ROM is available for just $10 US, including shipping worldwide,
and the proceeds will be used by MARSD to promote the Macintosh in Ham
Radio.

The CD order page provides a summary of the more than 15 great programs
as well as links to their web pages:
