[Ham-Mac] Using external battery to power a PowerBook

i use an external power supply on my PB3400 just to eliminate some
of the PS hash and other oddities.
Those things are switching power supplies and i changed over to a linear
PS at 24 VDC.
The PB3400 Power Supplies swamp out LF  (100 kHz) and my wireless
intercoms won't work when they are plugged in near by.
