[Ham-Mac] Jupiter

I have considered buying a Ten-Tec Jupiter as my HF rig.   My understanding 
is this is a Wintel based "software radio" which does not need a PC for 
operation and which can be upgraded via downloads from the net.

Can one receive and install the Ten-Tec upgrades via Mac?   If so, what is 
the hardware interface used between Mac and Jupiter?

And - how good is the Jupiter?   How is Ten-Tec for support?
