Correction noted.  Artnum 25114's grid matrix  states that the G5 and 
G4 (FW 800) are not compatible with OS 9 with the following note:

'9. Will start up only in Mac OS X, but most Mac OS 9 applications can 
be used with Apple's bundled "Classic" software environment. For more 
information, see technical document 86209.'

The G4 (Mirrored Drive Doors 2003) works with the software included 
according to the following note:

'3. These computers are supported by the version of Mac OS included 
with the computer when it was purchased; retail copies of Mac OS with 
the same (or earlier) version number may not include the system 
software components necessary to start up these models.'
