The commitment was a paltry $150 million and was one of the terms of the
look and feel settlement.  That agreement has expired which is probably
a major reason why Microsoft ditched IE for the Mac.  M$ Office is still a
money earner and, I believe, is profitable so from a business standpoint
it would make sense for M$ to keep it.

It's weird that Appleworks has been stagnant for so long.  I'm hoping for
a native Aqua port of OpenOffice this year...
