[Ham-Mac] anti virus software

You might want to read the latest problem reports with Virex on showing
on MacFixIt.

In "More Virex Problem Reports" MacFixIt notes:

"MacFixIt receives almost daily reports of problems with Virex 7.5.x.
Although this isn't rare for a widely used application, the extensive
diversity of the problems attributed to Virex is surprising."

Check out the full article at: http://www.macfixit.com/

Also, you might want to check out the problem reports in the OSX
Discussion Groups on the Apple support web site. There were a lot of
comments posted there regarding problems with Virex and synching Palms
as well as I recall.

There are apparently differences in the commercial version of Virex,
and the version of Virex that is distributed to .Mac subscribers. I
haven't tried the commercial version (and won't) -- only the version
distributed via .Mac.
