I have had a lot of rigs over the years and I would be hard pressed to
give up my IC-756PRO. I work several maritime nets where the ability to
hear the weak ones and pick them out of the noise is critical. The 756
PRo is great. On both 14.300 and 14.313 we have our share of
intentional QRM and strong adjacent frequency signals and the PRO
allows me to ignore the noise and keep the net going. It is no wonder
that the 756PRO has become the favorite of contesters and DXpeditioners
alike. For the small difference in price between the 746 and the 756
I'd go for the latter.
