I say go with the network option. It isn't insecure if you set it up=20
correctly, and you've already got all the software you need in the OS=20
itself. No need to spend money on technology if that technology is=20
already extant in what you own.
OS X offers technologies such as NAT and VPN to achive what you are=20
looking for. I routinely use both, plus SSH and SFTP/SCP to move=20
files--encrypted--across the Internet. It would be a lot more secure to=20=
set up an encrypted WAN link using IPSec, or tunneling ATMP/PPTP=20
through an SSH tunnel than copying files to an ISPs SAN. You can also=20
set up rsync over SSH to mirror your files on both ends so you've=20
always got the most current version of files at both ends...all without=20=
ever having to "sneakernet" anything. This is assuming both connections=20=
are broadband. Running Panther Server affords more security options=20
such as Kerberos, LDAP-based security, etc.
If you'd like any input on setting up a secure network connection=20
between sites let me know.
