Hello Don, and the list:

Well, simply, because I originally asked for 'off list' responses,
'specifically'. I knew how this would play out. It always does! Any
time someone mentions Mac and PC in the same sentence, a handful of
Macintosh users just freak out! I had a specific goal in mind. Well,
sorry! Goal achieved! And it sure wasn't to attack Chris personally
in any way Sorry Chris, if you got hurt. Reality sucks! Please
continue!
And seriously, in most everyone's experience, 90%, if not all, lists
tend to be very 'privately' and remotely watched, most call it lurking,
by a whole lot of very thinking and knowledgeable folks who fully and
clearly understand the psychology of the few who sign up and constantly
participate. It's just a little too obvious! I feel the same way!
Entertaining! Sometimes curious. Sometimes a little knowledge is
gained. But overall, I am out of here! (O.o)
The fact is, the number of 'praivate' respondents exceeded my wildest
expectations too Don. Sorry to disappoint you, but many continue to
coach and encourage me, off list, and thus encourage, now us, with the
same goals I desired! I have made a few wonderful friends and a few
acquaintances as a result. And I am now struggling to reach for my
goals, of common interest to many, in the SWL and Ham - Macintosh User
community.

Expected response from you Don. Define large! Three? Bet, I can name
them! ;o) Their IP's, ISP's used, physical locations, and even one
fellows Macintosh Serial Number and ROM Version. Sad! No matter!
It's all a done deal now!
No wonder people don't participate in most lists and openly express
their frustrations on those lists with a particular product. And,
Pssssst! Never, ever attack a fellow on the list for his expressed
opinion when one of the US Federal Government's best 'White Hat's',
also a 'private' frustrated Macintosh user, is watching. Whew! I now
feel sorry for this poor individual. Oops! 3 minus 1 Don.
Hey fellows? This packet sniffing, and trace back is really cool to
watch and learn. Sigh! Sorry to say, on a PeeCee! No one hides! I
have been really learning a lot as a result of this small effort. New
and better firewalls and networking tools! Kool! Tnx to all at
Microsoft for the wonderful encouragement, although obviously not
intended, in developing better firewalls, security tracing and
networking analysis tools for the Macintosh community! Much to learn!
Much to learn! ;o)

Embarrassed? Civility? Funny, you're the 'one' and only person to
write that down! Expected! This side of three total wacko's that
freaked out, resorted to name calling, firewall attacks, all at the
very mention of the phrase 'PeeCee'. Also, expected!
Hey? Get over it! I feel, just like the other 22 who have responded
to my 'private' off list request, that I was personally ripped off! I
paid for a working 'Shareware' product that doesn't work worth beans.
End of Point! Sorry Chris! Please keep working at it!
Don, I really encourage Chris to continue in his efforts. I don't hate
the man. I don't even know the man. I wish Chris the very best in
blessings all the way around! Although, I really hope he's not trying
to make a living at this? Just please? I ask Chris to consider the
quality and performance of MultiMode, for which he so beautifully,
(great web site), markets and asks for money! Done!

Luck has nothing to do with it. Luck is for the blind and deceived. I
don't gamble at chance. Leaned that lesson long ago as a child Don.
Simply, I demand to use my iBook when traveling to decode several modes
of interest, and so obviously, 'privately', do many others. We all
want a quality product which performs as advertised and is worth every
penny that I paid for and much more! Not someone's experimental
continuing programming efforts. However, in frustration, in the mean
time, I'll take along a darned PC Laptop with a program that actually
works as advertised and sold.
Thanks Don. I appreciate your remarks and your defense of Chris's
MultiMode. Your individual work is very much appreciated. Please
continue! I have however, abandoned your product, MacDopplerPro, for
other embedded software and hardware, namely RIG projects, and TimeStep
controllers, but it was fun while it lasted Don. And I got exactly
what I paid for, and more, from your fine efforts. Thank you very much
Don!
Well! Good Bye All! I am going to back off the list now fellows!
Goal achieved! A lot of work to accomplish, a lot to learn now! Some
great new friends! Thanks again to all those who were lurking with me
off in the side bars and came forward! I will try to watch this,
ahhhhh, support 'Don and Chris's programming' list from time to time
for entertainment but will not be responding to the list any longer.
Ooooooooooooooooh! Parting shot!!! Everybody together now - YEAH!!!!!
"He's taking his PC's and expensive software and leaving!". (O^O)
Yes, for a much better world. Thanks! No! I am not mad! Rather -
very amused, content, fascinated, (>.>), (<.<), and very busy!
Write me directly please! And watch for a new development group list
to arrive in due time! Don't have a clue as to when or where! My
guess, about a year.
;o)
