There is quite a difference there, Apples and Oranges in my opinion,
but whatever.

Did you not read the part where I said that I wasn't saying anyone was
doing anything wrong, and I wasn't pointing fingers or blame? And I'm
not charging any money for my hard work on any Ham software. In fact,
my meager offering pales in comparison to EchoLink itself which is also
free, but magnitudes more useful and powerful. Oh well, and so it goes.
I also look at software like MMSSTV on the Windows platform which is
free and everything I'd ever care to have in a SSTV package.

This isn't just targetted at Ham software authors, I have the same
sort of "beef" in another area that means a lot to me, and that's a
bigger powder-keg of religion. I have real issues with people and
companies that "market" stuff toward a particular religious segment,
sometimes charging higher amounts of money for something that has a
slight "flavor" for the particular religion. But This is really going
off topic now, so I won't strike the gong any more.

It's a personal viewpoint and opinion, shared by some but not all,
maybe not even many, but there you go, such is the nature of a personal
opinion. ;-) And I'm not putting anyone in the cross-hairs for not
agreeing with it.

Oh well, I'll leave this alone now, I probably already stirred
something more than I should have. Sorry if anyone was offended.

  Best,

  Steve
