The smart way to do that would be to register MultiMode and press for 
bug fixes enhancements etc.
Wishing him luck and "waiting until things improve" represents zero 
commitment on your part - and with zero commitment you get zero vote.

BTW, the current version of Multimode hasn't crashed for me - but some 
programs - even those from Apple - do crash occasionally - that's what 
bug reports are for.
