I just tried it five times spanning about five minutes.  Got 1078, 
1089, 1046, 1094, and 1090 Kbps.  This from Earthlink (subcontracted 
to Covad) ADSL, through an old beige Power Mac G3 266 MHz running 
IPNR, to an Orinoco 802.11b base station, to an aluminum Mac 
PowerBook G4 1 GHz with Airport inside, on the floor above.
