Don' t know anything about the REV FSK button - never used it

No - never. I use the SPLIT freq only when the DX station is listening up

I do use a special connection to the PK-232 that I wired via the 13-PIN DIN
on the back of the TS-570 but that may be unique to the PK-232.

You did not say what TNC or software you are using.

I run the old AEA MacRATT in Classic mode under Mac OSX 10.3 via  Keyspan
serial to USB adapter.
