[Ham-Mac] macintosh as ham computer?

Chuck -- don't sweat it....you'll find that Mac Hams are a great bunch.  As
Ted N7QY points out there are many apps available for the Mac.
As a MARS operator though the programs available for PSK-31 and the other
complex digital modes we use are not as plentiful or capable (although
they're making progress).  If I could only have one computer it would be a
very tough choice as I put off the final decision for years!!!....Luckily
I'm able to field both to take advantage of each platform's strengths.

Besides controlling your rig what other applications are you interested in?
The guys here can give you specific advice maybe with a little more info.
