Don & the list,
OK, I am officially in AWE. Besides the constant updates and immediate
support... I just finished the ARRL November Sweepstakes for the first
time. Yeh, I used an "official contesting program", N3FJP's Nov. Sweeps
thru Virtual PC on a Mac... (sorry Don but it did feel a little like
cheating - honest it didn't mean a thing, purely physical ;-> )
When I was done, I exported the ADIF file, copied it to the Mac
desktop, imported it into MacLoggerDX, bang! All in. But then the magic
happened...
Sure, might be old hat to some of you already and I'm probably
preaching to the converted, but this is the first time I saw "Update
Selected Entries" in action, in bulk. WOW. Right down the list, as
promised, all the info, even photos loaded into place filling the holes
and updating the log and awards page (48 out of 50 states after the
weekend!) (and 3 new provinces "up north", despite no QSO with Agro yet
<G>)
It was a thing of beauty, I had to share... might get those QSL cards
out sooner than I though!
And just a note - any Mac contesters looking for an easy, intuitive,
smooth running GREAT contest software for the Mac, head over to
www.n3fjp.com and check it out.. all you need is Virtual PC, or one of
those "other" computers. And you can STILL use MacLoggerDX for the
master log and every day use!
Thanks Don!
Walter
