it's not a theory, Apple admitted the problem, and when i take the 15" 
display out of the circuit, i have no problem either. apple claims they 
"fixed" the proximity switch problems on the 17" and above, they aren't 
nearly as sensitive to interference, plus the switches can be disabled.

remember, the original G4 cubes used to go wild without any touching 
because of faulty, over-sensitive proximity switches, that was a VERY 
common problem.

so having a 17" doesn't necessarily explain what a 15" is doing. sure, 
i must still have RF somewhere and I'm tackling that as well, but the 
15" was absolutely the problem.
