I think your review of the TrustedQSL port by N9YTY was fair and useful
- and I am sure that Steve would agree - if he weren't in Ireland right
now with no email or web access :)
Beyond the obvious benefit of providing prospective users with a sense
of other people's experience with a piece of software, user feedback is
essential to development. Naturally as a developer I like positive
reviews better than negative ones - but negative feedback is just as
useful. I would rather have my feelings temporarily bruised than miss
altogether an important deficiency in my design.
As long as the reviewer has actually used the software his experiences
can only benefit the prospective users and the developer.
The reviews on eHam have done a lot to publicize our products - but
their orientation is more PC than Mac and I am glad to see Steve M. add
the reviews page to MacHamRadio and that you started the ball rolling
with the first review - hopefully there will be many more to come.
