[Ham-Mac] Update on the ARRL Logbook of the World (LoTW) electronic QSLing project

I looked over the document mentioned here and find something very
encouraging.

The document describes the key element of this software as the
Authentication process. This part has been written into libraries,
which the document states will be provided for several versions of
Windows (up through XP) and for Unix/Linux. They also say that the
libraries are to be provided for the Mac platform (see section 2.3.3 -
"Logbook Programming Library Library Functions". This means that a Mac
developer will be able to take advantage of these libraries to handle
the Authentication. The remaining issue is connecting to ARRL. I
imagine these specs will also be released and that such method will not
care what platform is doing the accessing. So, although ARRL may not
be taking the initiative to include a Mac developer in writing their
version of the software, they are not doing things to block a Mac
developer from creating something for the Mac community.

Thanks for the link, Dick.
