Because Jon Bloom was compensated by the ARRL for writing the Linux and
Windows version. The ARRL should be willing to compensate a Mac developer for
doing a port, rather than expecting someone to do it for free. It's an insult
to the skill of the developer.
As I've said before, it's not just Mac developers they have insulted in the
past, it'll all ham developers.
But the ARRL isn't going to change until we get the old farts out of the
Director positions.
