As previously stated in my last post I will describe the record keeping
for ExpresLog which is quite extensive.
All record keeping is done automatically upon entry of log data or QSL
confirmation. If a new band country, state band, zone band, there is an
automatic indication noted. An extensive database is used that even
takes care of new special calls such as K1K, K5K etc This database is
easily updated for new calls and/or countries.
DXCC List: this is the exact same list as published by the ARRL in the
same order. Starting with MIXED, PH, CW, RTTY,SAT, 160M, 80M, 40M 30M
20M, 17M, 15M, 12M, 10M 6M 2M. This includes all bands all modes,
useful for 5BandDXCC or for that matter 11 Band DXCC.
Buttons include: Totals (wrked/cfmd), Collapse band, find Country,AF,
AS, EU, NA, OC, SA, confirm deleted, Same Zone, Need Only, Cfmd Only,
Not Cfmd, All Countries, Deleted Countries, DXCC Current List, sort by
Prefix, Sort by country.
Totals are per Item/Band, i.e. one can run totals in NA only, or only
Zone 20 in Europe, or only those needed to be cfmd on 20m, or in mixed
mode etc. There is almost no finite count which can not be done. One
can look at Cfmd only in NA Zone 8, or needed only in NA Zone 8.
It should be clear one can set up for only Europe countries needed
during DX Contests, i.e. there is separate contest logging program for
popular contests (more about this later)
DXCC-MODE: This a separate DXCC listing by the 3 primary modes, cw, ph
and rtty. With this listing one can look at countries
wrked(blue)/cfmd(red) by mode. In other words just Germany for
example. Totals wrked/cfmd are for all independent modes or by
continent, zone, etc
WAZ: Same general format as DXCC-MODE but some functions are
redundant and not provided. In contest you may want to look for only
cw zones in africa that are needed for example.
WAS/WAVE same as WAZ
IOTA just a basic alphanumeric list is provided.
VHF/UHF Grids/Fields: Grids and Fields are tabulated in alphanumeric
order, red for cfmd, blue for wrked, totals are provided on band by
band basis 50 MHz to 10 GHz.

Subject: ExpresLog
I would like to announce the availablility of a full featured logging
and award program ExpresLog.
I have decided to release it at this point rather then keep holding it
till all possible features are finished. It is not being sold now for
financial reasons but rather to heasten its delivery to the MAC
commununity. BETA copies are available for FREE to any registered
owner of the Panorama database. The database engine is available from
Provue, Inc for $295 at: http://www.provue.com/.
Provue makes the very fast database engine Panorama and Overvue
before that which the program uses. Thats it, no connection to myself,
I am an attorney. When the program is fully released open-source
software, it will cost $30, enough to cover expenses.
The program will be shareware but code, forms, etc will be entirely
available such that the program can developed by other users. There
will be the necessarry legal restrictions about distribution, code,
forms, etc but none that will be restrictive in nature to prevent
development by others.
If there is anyone out there that meets the criterion for a FREE BATA
simply e-mail myself and you will be supplied a 5000 record sample
logbook (my own) for a look and feel, simply delete my own records, run
set-up and all is going
