For the non Dutch audience : Gerrit asked it it would not be easier to 
create a Fink package for xastir. On top of Dennis' comment, it is 
really worthwhile to update xastir to new (development) versions often 
as features get added on a regular basis. Download the development 
versions from the xastir web or use the CVS option.
