[Ham-Mac] predict & gsat

Anyone have success compiling predict and gsat on OSX?  Actually, I am 
more interested in gsat as I have predict running in server mode on my 
Linux box.  Currently I ssh into the Linux box and run gsat via X11.  
It works fine but I'd rather have it run locally because I can't do rig 
control running it remotely.  According to the predict website: Paul 
Williamson, KB5MU, has released Mac Vocalizer to enable PREDICT to run 
with speech announcements under Mac OS X.  Paul are you on the list?  
Any tips?

I  downloaded a java client from 
http://c.avmdti.free.fr/soft/predict/Predict.htm for predict.  It works 
OK under the JVM but it does not do things like rig control.
