When the LotW thing happened, I wrote to a couple of people at ARRL
asking "What about us?" One of them replied by citing the low
percentage of MacOS users in the then-latest ARRL website poll
results. By his logic, we should do OK now. :-)

I wrote back saying that the ARRL website poll was biased against Mac
users 'cuz the website doesn't work correctly with some non-Microsoft
browsers, so that those who do not worship Bill Gates tend not to
visit the ARRL website.

In particular, the ARRL website did not work correctly with the
Netscape browser that I was using, and which was MIT's officially
supported browser. The shame is, now I use MSIE/Mac, because so many
websites no longer work correctly with non-Microsoft browsers. But,
whenever I need to do something official through an MIT web server
(e.g., renew my parking pass), I must launch Netscape, because
Netscape Navigator is the only Mac browser that MIT still supports.

Now that Netscape browser development has died, we Mac users at MIT
may soon find ourselves orphaned. :-(
