Hi Carl,

Regarding OS Upgrades, it is true that they are a necessary part of any
software business if they want to stay in business they have to keep up with
the competition otherwise they will die a long lingering death. No upgrades,
no income, no business and then no support for existing users.

Another thing to note is that developing software for the ham market is an
expensive business because again development tools cost money (as do
upgrades) so we feel the same pain as users do. Most of us don't make a
living from ham software, it is just a case of covering our costs to support
our desire to write software.
