I think what you are referring to, is that there is a bug (which I 
haven't tracked down yet) that sometimes shows the crosshairs at the top 
left corner when you switch to the Map Panel - even though MacLoggerDX 
has a valid latitude and longitude.

The temporary work-around is just to click the "Look Up" button (or 
enter command "L").
