I received this from Charles Williams on SciTech list;
In case anybody is interested, I've put my latest version of 'MacSpice' on
the web for free download. It is essentially port of Berkeley Spice 3f5.
Most of my improvements are under-the-hood stuff aimed at making it
reliable and dealing with the many bugs and memory issues that Spice is
famous for. I switch between Macs and Unix and I have put some effort into
making the command line interface nice - it looks like SIOUX but also it
has stuff like command-line editing and command and file completion.
Details are in the release notes, which start
Introduction
------------
This version of the MacSpice application
http://newton.ex.ac.uk/teaching/CDHW/Electronics2/MacSpice3f5-2.6DR5.gz
is based on sources I downloaded from the (defunct?) MacSpice project at
Sourceforge
https://sourceforge.net/project/?group_id=2005
and to which I have made many improvements and bug fixes. I can only really
afford to spend time fixing things that obstruct my work, really irritate
me, or
cause problems for my students. However, if there is some bug that is
preventing
you using MacSpice let me know and I will see what I can do to help.
In order to use MacSpice you need to
(a) Download Anthony Wilson's version to get the support files and stuff:
http://home.earthlink.net/~wilsona/MacSpice3f4other255.sea.hqx
(b) Replace the application with this version (see above)
Documentation for Spice 3f5 is at
http://newton.ex.ac.uk/teaching/CDHW/Electronics2/userguide/
there is an introductory set of tutorials at
http://newton.ex.ac.uk/teaching/CDHW/Electronics2/SimSheet-01.html
If you use MacSpice, or want to be notified of new releases and bugfixes,
please let me know. I'm at

Good luck
